Electronic Arts, in a not so surprising move decided to put Generals 2 into F2P mode, check below for more details on why such
dick move was made.
We all know that Command and Conquer is possibly one of the most cherished franchises for many people who love RTS gaming. Alas the last few installments left the community with a bad taste in their mouth and this might leave them completely with bad breath.

C&C is now another franchise who plays with the F2P model, branded with its "new" Frostbite 2 engine and being made by EA's Victory Games under the Bioware namehold, a company which apparently started going to the dark side based by some of the comments of the majority of players due to very bad choices (green, blue and red if I recall them).
The game will be available somewhere in 2013 and here is the official comment of EA:
